Should You Plan Your Trip In The US? (+Top 5 Safest and Cheapest Places)

You wonder should you plan your trip in the US?

The same question is asked by domestic and foreign hosts eager to travel and rest.

Yes, yes, we know you would say that is risky to travel in a time of the pandemic.

But the risk always exists regardless of the pandemic, right?

There are countless different accidents and troubles in the world, so that does not deter us from living…

Life goes on in spite of everything and we cannot condemn ourselves by living in isolation and in fear.

No, my dears, that is by no means an option!

Travel freely, be happy and live but always with a dose of caution, of course.

That is why we are here to help you find the most safest and cheapest places given the current situation.

Pack your bags and rejoice!

What Should You Know If You Plan a Trip in The US?

Nothing special that you don’t normally do before going on a trip.

Just check what documents you need to enter the US. You will most likely need a visa.

A visa is issued by a U.S. Embassy or Consulate. It is the best to contact the consulate in your country.

Certainly, the most important thing is to keep up to date with the conditions of entry into each state separately to avoid inconvenience. Check it out here.

Top 5 Safest and Cheapest Places for Vacation

Don’t worry, you will be able to find a safe and cheap place because the US is such a big country that you have plenty of choices.

According to the current situation, places in nature or smaller cities are recommended.

We have selected for you the top 5 safest and cheapest places for vacation.

1.Placid Lake, New Jork

Should You Plan Your Trip In The US (+ Top 5 safest and Cheapest Places)
Mirror Lake, perfect for outdoor activities and chilling

As we have pointed out, places in nature are the safest not only for viruses but in general.

Places outside the city give you the opportunity for a healthy vacation.

One such is Lake Placid, a small town with 3,000 inhabitants, located deep in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State.

Imagine a vacation without a New York skyscraper, a Florida beach, or a Vegas casino. America without the subway, yellow taxis and a liberal way of life.

Probably the best thing you can see here is Mirror Lake, 2.7 miles away from Lake Placid.

There is also a 4 km long trail that surrounds the entire lake, which allows you to, with a good walk, offer the best view that this place can give you.

Next to the lake is the Mirror Lake Inn, a hotel that is among the top 100 hotels in all of America.

But since you are definitely looking for something cheaper and we have the perfect solution for that.

You know we take care of your budget ;-)

There, our recommendation is Rodeway Inn Lake Placid.

Superb facilities and an excellent location make the Rodeway Inn Lake Placid the perfect place to enjoy your stay in Lake Placid.

For only $98 per night, this hotel has one of the cheapest prices in the area!

And that is not all! Two kids under age 19 stay free! And this is just one of many promotions on Agoda.

  1. I already had itchy feet before reading this article – you must know how badly I want to travel now!
So many gorgeous places to visit, so little time – lol!
I’ve never been to the States, my brother lives in Houston, Texas, so I’d better start planning a trip.
Thank you so much for a very interesting article. I recently learned a bit about Yellowstone National Park from some bloggers I follow. Alaska has always been a place I’d love to see. Like I said – so much to see, so little time. Maybe I should become a RVer for a while.
Thank you for providing so much information in one place and for encouraging travel once again.

    • Hey Louise, thanks for your comment. So glad you find the article interesting and useful. Being RVer is amazing and you give us an inspiration for the next article. 2. Thank you for sharing such wonderful destinations. Honolulu looks beautiful and I can’t believe how cheap Stay Hotel Waikiki is! For 2 people that’s an amazing price. I think my favorite place to visit would be Yellowstone National park though. I’d love to see the giant geyser and love nature.

    • Hey Kathy, prices are really affordable and places are for everyone’s taste. If you ever want to visit Yellowstone you know where you can find the best info! Thanks for comment and keep follow!

  3. Hi Libellule,
Let me first start by complimenting you on such a lovely looking website!
It inspires calm and kindness. It is very lovely to land here.

I also like your style of writing, it is easy to follow, spaced and easy to understand.

It is very much appreciated that you put the safety of people that are taking your advice here first.
That means that you truly care about your readers and make sure to provide only the right advice for them. That inspires trust!

The pictures also exemplify clearly what you are talking about.
The article also speaks to me as it points out not just the safest places to go but also the ones on the budget that yet do not take away from the beauty that the surrounding has to offer.

Thank you again and keep up the great work!

    • Hi Tatiana, thank you for such kind words of support, that means a lot! It obliges to continuous improvement precisely because of you readers. Thank you again and all the best!

  4. “Life goes on in spite of everything and we cannot condemn ourselves by living in isolation and in fear.”
Yes, I’m happy to know that there are still some people in the world with ‘common sense.’

We shouldn’t stop living because we fear a virus. Viruses have been around forever, and still humankind survives….. (we have our awesome immune systems to thank for that.)

Anyway, when the governments come to their senses and open countries up again so we can travel freely, I would love to visit Yellowstone National Park and Alaska. The photo of Anchorage is stunning. The vast mountains in the background remind me of the 3 months I spent trekking in Nepal. The shear scale of endless snowy mountains in all directions gives us some perspective as to how small we are!

A break away anywhere far from the city is always a great way to rejuvenate us, mind, body, and soul.

Thanks for the great tips :-)
