Great Abaco Island has three of the most popular bars in the area including Pete’s Pub and Gallery, Nippers Beach Bar and Grill and the Turtle Pool Bar and Grill. Guests visiting Pete’s Pub in Little Harbour can enjoy live music and fresh Bahamian seafood with the added attraction of visiting the only working bronze foundry in the Bahamas.

Nippers Bar is situated on Great Guana Cay and is renowned for its Sunday Pig Roast with buffet-style dining offering roast and barbecued pork with delicious sides. The Turtle Bar is located at Green Turtle Cay and is easily reached by ferry from Treasure Cay, making it a popular choice for day-trippers, who linger into the evening for Caribbean cocktails.

Travellers staying in Treasure Cay have a choice of bars and restaurants for relaxed or lively evenings, with happy hours and entertainment. The Bahama Beach Club has its own famous Pool Bar and Grill, offering superior service for a touch of luxury. 

Guests can enjoy expertly prepared cocktails including the famous Goombay Smash and Bahama Mama, made with Bahamas rum for a Caribbean treat. The Pavilion beachfront restaurant at the Bahama Beach Club has themed evenings including a steak night and an Italian Night, ideal for a special occasion or celebration.

The Green Turtle Club is home to a local band, The Gully Roosters, who can be found every Wednesday with their infectious mix of reggae and calypso music. Live groups can also be found at Harbour’s Edge and the Sea Spray Resort on Elbow Cay, with rock and roll nights being particularly popular.

At a time when travelling is barely possible due to the pandemic I absolutely loved reading this: the way you described things, I felt like I was there! There is a lot to be said for travelling knowing that the place you are holidaying is both stable politically and economically as it brings reassurance and safety whilst still being able to fully engage in adventure.
