Perast town

The Top 5 less known Honeymoon destinations
Perast town , a less known pearl of the European coast

Your beginning of a life together deserves to be as sweet as honey. Libellule takes you to a lesser known but beautiful town Perast.

This picturesque town on the Mediterranean coast in Montenegro will take your breath away. In addition to seeing a lot of tourist attractions, you will be enchanted by the beautiful nature that surrounds it.

Tucked away in mountains and water, it is part of the UNESCO cultural heritage and is a real paradise especially for doves in love like you.

Throughout history, many have sought to conquer this place and place it under their auspices (Byzantine Empire, Venetian, and Hungarian, French, Austrian conquerors). Each of them has left a significant mark on this beautiful little place. That is why Perast is full of museums, churches, chapels and it hosts numerous cultural and entertainment events, especially in summer.

On the opposite side of Perast are the biggest tourist attractions, stunning islands – the natural island of St. George and the island of Our Lady of Skrpela. There are an old cemetery and a beautiful Benedictine monastery on the island of St. George, but unfortunately, you cannot visit this island with ordinary tourist boats, but if you rent it privately you can visit it. In this case, you cannot enter the monastery, its doors are open only to the inhabitants of Perast, but it is enough to enjoy the view of its exterior.

What is important is that it is very quiet, there are not many bars. This city is worth choosing if you want to enjoy solitude or with a limited number of people. During the summer, traffic is closed on the promenade, so guests can walk safely and enjoy the views of the coastal restaurants.

The next place we recommend is for those who are in love with nature and who are looking for isolation to enjoy privacy.

This is offered by Tongabezi Lodge in Zambia, which is known for its warm hospitality and kindness to all its guests. You will be delighted with the treatment that will welcome you to these beautiful houses and cottages.

You can see the interior and exterior of each of them on their official website, and we especially single out the one that is specially equipped for the honeymoon.

A house that exudes with luxury and romance will give you an incredible feeling of privacy with all possible comforts. What is more beautiful than being in nature and yet having all the conditions for a pleasant stay. This is called ultimate enjoyment!

To complete your feeling, there is also a river terrace where you can have a drink with a loved one and have a view of the surrounding wilderness. You can even step into the river from your own private deck and feel the wild but at the same time wonderfully calm river Zambia.

Kakslauttanen Glass Igloos, a place where you can experience romantic nights chained by ice

Do you know that you can stay in the most exclusive hotel in the world, in a room made of snow and ice? Of course, if you have a hefty budget because an overnight stay in one of the world’s igloos is incredibly expensive!

Igloos are very unique resorts, which is not simply made of snow but combines all the amenities and rooms under its roof. Seen from the outside, it acts as a small space, but once you step into it, you enter a magnificent winter kingdom. In fact, this is a tunnel system with needles, entertainment areas, and bars that are connected to each other.

The interior of each room is individually decorated by different international artists, in order to create an atmosphere of a fantasy of the wonderful snow world, which will definitely give you a feeling of transition to another dimension.

Imagine what a delight it is to spend a night with a loved one in a warm igloo overlooking starry and colorful polar nights.

If money is not a problem for you, Libellule suggests you visit Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Finland, which is a real winter wonderland.

Eagle's Nest Treehouse

Eagle's Nest Treehouse , a perfect love nest in nature

The nest is a symbol of warmth, security, and love, so the right way to show your loved one that you have it all is to take him/her to the love nest.

The Eagle’s Nest is a magical place. Perched high in the trees in Salmon Creek Ranch in Bodega Bay in the USA, this is an amazing place to relax, recharge and reconnect with nature. You will be especially surprised by Salmon Creek Ranch’s warm hospitality.

The treehouse is a masterpiece because it is made of wood and gives you the feeling as if you are completely fused with nature. Also, you are allowed to have comforts like warm and cozy beds, comfortable toilets, and the ability to make coffee and grill.

  1. Wow! I love these places.
I know you mentioned these places for honeymooners but I don’t think they should be limited like that.
When we were newlyweds we certainly couldn’t afford international travel.
In my opinion, these are perfect for any couple looking for somewhere off the beaten path, so to speak.
My husband and I have recently celebrated 30 years together and a stay in one of these places would be ideal.
Once COVID is over and international travel can safely resume we will be faced with the difficult decision of where we would like to go for vacation.
All of these places are certainly on our list.
Thank you so much for your attention to detail in describing each of these gems.

    • Thanks for your comment, Deborah! We are glad to hear that you are celebrating 30 years of love with your husband. That’s wonderful!
Of course, these suggestions are not only for newlyweds, but for all who want to spend a lovely trip, solo, with a friend, or soul mate, is not the most important.
It is important that you enjoy your journey. Oh yes, we are all looking forward to the end of the COVID crisis.
      Stay healthy! Greetings!

  2. Wow!! This is so for me! While I read through your article, I wanted to visit every single place. I think the iglo resort (of course, the most expensive one, haha) was the one that really got my attention, but all the other ones are amazing too. With the right person, any of these destinations will be perfect places for the perfect honeymoon.
Thank you for these lovely and unique suggestions! I’ll definitely remember this!
